Women from the community of Quilloma learning about the water project that QBL hopes to bring to their community.

Almost certainly you’ve never heard of Quilloma. It’s a village of 43 families on the icy cold Altiplano three hours from La Paz, the capital. Houses are mud brick with straw roofs. This is a poor community in the poorest country in South America.

QBL plans to install a water system which will provide every family with a well and pump outside their house.

They will no longer have to walk hours each day carrying buckets from a stream which is rat-infested and often contaminated. This is going to make a significant change to the whole community. It means a healthier more secure future for everyone in Quilloma – especially the children.
