I recently attended the Summer Sessions of New York Yearly Meeting at the Silver Bay YMCA Center on Lake George, NY. We had a QBL display table, and QBL interest group, and a meeting with the staff of Bolivia Quaker Education Fund (BQEF) to see how we might support one another’s programs. QBL’s commitment to safe water and food security, combined with BQEF’s commitment to education for Bolivian youth, constitute a strong Friendly presence in this needy part of the world.

Everyone agreed that the work we do with the Aymara people in Bolivia is important and that “letting our lives speak” through service to the Aymara people is a good example of the service testimony.
